The goal of this project was to design an eyeglass wearable, which records food intake for patients diagnosed with diseases like obesity or diabetes.
My focus was 1) designing a socially acceptable wearable safely enclosing all hardware - camera, IMU, proximity sensors - and 2) analyzing and collecting sensor data using Arduino and Python. After countless prototypes, I helped conduct 25 hours of user-tests where users would exercise, attend a lunch meeting, eat a snack, watch TV and hike. Using collect data and feedback, we improved our design to adapt to different head sizes.
